I'm just over here, in central Florida, preparing for Hurricane Milton, living with this constant "impending doom" feeling. The thing about hurricanes is that you know they are coming days in advance. That's a good thing for preparation, BUT it's not such a good thing when it comes to days and days of an overwhelmed nervous system! Enter: the Kava Colada!
When it comes to calming the nervous system, there are many things you can do. Ensuring you have enough minerals in your system to support the extra adrenal stress is key. But one thing that helps me take the edge off, is a nice, refreshing, KAVA COLADA! Kava is used to relax the mind, body, and nervous system.
